Jojo and Scot Haney on Better Connecticut Land O'Lakes  just released Pumpkin Spice Butter and officially made PSB a thing. We decided to DIY our own version, the Churncraft way.

Check us out on   Better Connecticut  teaching  our favorite TV hosts, Kara Sundlun and  Scot Haney,  to make festive fall butter.  This autumnal spread is perfect for a cozy fall brunch!

Pumpkin Spice Butter Recipe

This butter is the perfect way to celebrate the start of fall! Try using fresh spices by grinding your own allspice and grating fresh nutmeg. Then slather this bad boy all over some homemade buttermilk waffles!

Ingredients for Pumpkin Spice Butter

1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/8 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

For the compound butter: Place butter into a medium mixing bowl. If you're using fresh spices, start by grating your nutmeg and grinding your allspice with a mortar and pestle. Once prepared, add all of the spices to the butter. Stir the spices into the butter mixture using a silicone spatula or wooden spoon and you’re all set! Pack the butter into a ramekin or shape into a log using plastic wrap.

I first met Marlon at a charity event, where a private dinner catered by him was auctioned off for a cool $14,000 (by the way, two of those dinners sold that night). Between his charisma, fascinating stories of the rich and famous, and delicious food, it’s easy to see why.

Truffle Butter
Truffle Butter

by Jojo Frey December 04, 2017

Truffle butter is a great way to preserve the aroma of truffles. Chefs recommend using truffle within five days or so. Aside from freezing it, making truffle butter is a good method to preserve the flavor. But, let’s be real… ain't no way truffle butter will last more than a few days in anyone’s fridge!!
